NEW Koto Lamp DI-120

The NEW Koto Lamp DI-120 is a high-output metal halide lamp designed for stage, studio, and film lighting where brightness, efficiency, and accurate color matter. Koto Electric is considered to be the pioneer of high-quality specialty lamps for stage, studio and film. Di-Lite metal halide lamps are about 3 times brighter than comparable tungsten-halogen lamps, with lumen efficiency of 85-108 lm per watt. They also generate considerably less heat than tungsten-halogen lamps. These metal halide lamps have a Color Rendering Index of more than 90, making them a great combination of high efficiency and high color rendering for color-critical applications. 

Metal halide lamps require less power consumption than tungsten-halogen lamps, while allowing a smaller fixture size due to their large lumen package per watt. 

Technical Output and Color Performance

The DI-120 is a 160V, 12,000 watt metal halide lamp rated at 1,110,000Lm with a 6,000K color temperature and a 300 hour lifespan. With a CRI of more than 90 (as stated above), it is well-suited to color-critical environments where you need consistent skin tones, set colors, and camera-friendly light.

Fit, Form Factor, and Lamp Construction

For fixture compatibility and servicing, the lamp measures 470mm by 72mm. This is a double end lamp and uses a 30x70 cylinder LEAD 165mm, which can be helpful when confirming mechanical fit and lead length requirements before installation.
