XLD281 Line Array: The XLD281 is a 3-way design using CCT (Coverage Control Technology) to control horizontal coverage to 200 Hz. It uses an 8 inch neodymium LF transducer, an 8 inch neodymium LF/MB transducer, and two neodymium 2 inch voice coil compression drivers combining through 2 hydra plane wave generators into a 120° x 10° waveguide. CCT uses both 8 inch transducers to provide maximum low frequency output and operating bandwidth while controlling horizontal beam width to 200 Hz by using DSP. The XLD281 can be used in tri-amp mode, or in bi-amp using a sophisticated internal passive network. Designed for use in arrays of four or more elements, the XLD281 delivers full bandwidth audio with precise, predictable coverage control. Integrated rigging with hinge points located correctly between array elements is simple to use and quickly provides uncompromised line array performance.

XLD127 Line Array: EV engineers have defined a new group of compact line array elements, the XLC.  It is comprised of three components, XLC 127 full range, XLC 127+ full range with ND6-16 large format high frequency transducers and the XLC 118 sub cabinet.  The XLC 127 is a 3-way design utilizing a 12" vented LF, 2 x 6.5" MB transducers on a 120° horizontal waveguide, and 2 x DH2T-16 HF transducers combining through a Hydra to a 120° x 7° waveguide. The XLC 127 can be used in tri-amp mode, or bi-amp 3-way using the sophisticated internal passive MB to HF network.   The asymmetrical box design was optimized to produce a symmetrical polar pattern with a uniform power response.  Designed for use in groups of four or more the XLC 127 delivers predictability and control.  Combined with an advanced integrated rigging system, one-man installations are a reality.  The XLC 127 systems can also be ground stacked.  Ideal for applications ranging from live reinforcement to performing arts venues to houses of worship, to sports facilities, XLC gives you the power to make it happen. The XLC 127+ uses two ND6-16, 3 in., high-output, neodymium compression drivers, replacing the standard DH2T-16 drivers.  The XLC 127+ is recommended when performance requirements demand higher output.  The ND6-16 is also used in EV’s X-Array and X-Line systems creating a family of identically voiced loudspeakers for any mobile or permanent sound application.  XLC can deliver unprecedented performance, particularly in difficult acoustical environments.  LAPS modeling software provides quick results for array configurations and rigging information.
