Boreal+MK2 is a practical all-around Hippotizer for show environments where you need responsive playback, fast media handling, and predictable output behavior. Hippotizer V4 supports real-time playback control of attributes, plus flexible output mapping for complex stage, LED, and projection layouts.
Outputs, Mapping, and Show Control
With 4x HDMI production outputs (HDMI 2.0 supported), the Boreal+ MK2 HDMI is designed for multi-screen or multi-processor systems. Hippotizer’s output management provides configuration flexibility, while SHAPE 3D Mapping delivers a complete tool set for projection mapping workflows. For pixel-based lighting and large point counts, PixelMapper makes it easier to map many thousand light points effectively.
Networking and Multi-Unit Operation
For scalable systems, HippoNet enables control of multiple units from a single ZooKeeper. The server includes an integrated media management system for fast ingest and organization. Networking includes 2x 1Gb ports and 2x 10Gb ports (10Gb/s network by default) to support higher-bandwidth media pipelines and connected show control infrastructure.
Performance and Playback Capacity
Designed for high-throughput show playback, this unit supports uncompressed playback and is rated for 20 concurrent 4K layers. It includes 25,000 Notchmarks and supports FlexRes Codec, a family of codecs built into every Hippotizer V4 and V4+.
Connectivity, Sync, and Audio I/O
Genlock is supported for synchronization, and software EDID emulation is supported (hardware EDID emulation: HDMI yes, DP no). Audio connections include balanced stereo XLR in and out, with LTC over the audio input supported for timecode-driven workflows.
