PROTEUS HYBRID is an IP65 rated 3-in-1 hybrid moving head beam, spot, and wash luminaire with the Philips MSD Platinum 21R 470W 80 CRI 8,000K lamp producing over 23,000 lumens. Built for flexible rigs and demanding environments, it lets you cover tight aerial beam looks, detailed gobo projection, and wider wash applications from a single fixture while keeping output and effects consistent.
Optics and Beam Control
An advanced optical system with motorized zoom spans from 2° in beam mode to 38° in spot mode or 40° in wash mode, so you can switch from narrow, punchy shafts to broader coverage without changing fixtures. Motorized focus and auto-focus help keep edges and textures sharp across typical throw distances.
Color, Gobos, and Animated Effects
Full CMY and linear CTO color mixing support quick matching to other fixtures and camera-friendly looks, with 14 dichroic colors including CTB, CTO, and UV. For texture and mid-air effects, it includes 8 rotating glass interchangeable and 14 static-stamped metal gobos, a full 360° bi-directional animation wheel, rotating 8-facet and linear prisms, plus a frost filter for smoothing and widening the output when needed. A high speed mechanical shutter and strobe provide crisp hits and rhythmic effects.
Control and Connectivity
PROTEUS HYBRID supports DMX, RDM (Remote Device Management), Art-NET, and sACN protocol control, making it suitable for everything from conventional DMX runs to networked lighting systems. Elation’s E-FLY internal wireless DMX transceiver adds a cable-reduction option, and IP rated 5pin XLR and RJ45 etherCON in/out connections help keep signal routing robust. Power is handled via powerCON TRUE1 power in.
Enclosure, Power, and Physical Specs
The IP65-rated design and advanced internal thermal cooling system are intended to support reliable operation in challenging conditions. It features a full color 180° reversible menu display with 6 button touch control panel and a battery backup for display power. The multi-voltage universal auto switching power supply supports 100-240v. Dimensions are 18.4” (465mm) long, 22.5” (571mm) wide, and 31.7” (805mm) vertical height. Weight is 84.0 lbs. (38.0 kg).
