CV500-MB2 HD-SDI Mini Broadcast Camera improves durability, versatility, compatibility, and functionality. This uniquely small and powerful camera meets the heavy duty requirements of High Definition Broadcast applications, delivering full HD resolution video in a compact 1.4 inch cube for unobtrusive placement or concealment. It is well-suited for production workflows that need a discreet POV or fixed angle camera, including RealityTV, Film POV, Culinary Shows, Extreme Sports, Documentaries, Stunt Filming, Hidden Cams, and College/Professional Sports.

Broadcast-Ready Video Output and Formats

Designed for broadcast integration, the CV500-MB-2 provides HD-SDI (BNC) and CVBS (BNC) connections on the rear panel for straightforward routing into switchers, recorders, and monitoring setups. Supported video formats include 1080p59.94, 1080i59.94, and 720p59.94fps, making it a practical choice for live production and fast-motion capture where smooth playback matters.

Imaging Control for Challenging Lighting

A 2.2 megapixel 1/3 inch CMOS sensor is paired with an installed 3.7mm MegaPixel M12 prime lens (changeable) to keep the camera small while still providing a sharp, wide perspective. For scenes with mixed or difficult lighting, the camera supports Auto/Manual White Balance, Exposure, Gamma, and Red/Blue Gain, along with Double Shutter Wide Dynamic Range (WDR). Digital Fog removal and a Digital Noise Reducer (2D/3D) help maintain clarity when shooting in haze, smoke, or low-light environments.

Control, Power, and Mounting

Settings can be adjusted using the OSD menu controller, and the camera can be integrated into control systems via RS-485. Power consumption is max. 150mA, and it is compatible with most DSLR mobile battery solutions for portable rigs and remote placements. A built-in 1/4 inch-20 mount makes it easy to attach to cages, clamps, or specialty mounts, and the compact body measures 1.4 inch H x 1.4 inch W x 1.3 inch D (36mm x 36mm x 35mm) and weighs 50g.
