The Chauvet DJ Intimidator Wave IRC is a moving light array built for DJs, mobile rigs, bands, events, clubs, and parties. It features 5 independently controlled moving heads that project narrow, razor-sharp 5° RGBW beams, letting you create fast sweeps, fan effects, and punchy aerial looks with smooth color mixing.
Multi-Head Beam Effects with Flexible Control
Each head uses a bright 12 W quad-color (RGBW) LED for flexible color-mixing and crisp beam definition. You can run the fixture in Automated, Sound, or Master/Slave modes, or integrate it into a DMX system using 14 or 34 channels via 3-pin XLR. For coordinated looks across a rig, up to 4 Intimidator Wave IRC fixtures can be linked together to operate as one (20 heads total) for synchronized movement and chases.
Positioning, Programming, and On-Fixture Setup
A full-color LCD with a full text readout makes on-unit setup and menu navigation straightforward. User-selectable tilt ranges (90°, 180°, or 270°) help you keep beams on target in different venues, from low-ceiling rooms to larger stages. For convenient wireless control without DMX, the Intimidator Wave IRC supports the optional IRC-6 remote.
Performance and Power for Real-World Rigs
With illuminance rated at 16,670 lux at 2 m and a strobe rate of 0 to 23 Hz, the fixture is designed to cut through ambient light and add impact to drops and transitions. It supports auto-ranging 100 to 240 VAC power and can power link multiple units (up to 5 units at 120 V, or 13 units at 230 V) to reduce cable runs. The Intimidator Wave IRC draws 173 W at 120 V (2.5 A) and is CE approved.
