The Elation PROTEUS MAXIMUS is a bright IP65-rated LED Profile fixture built for outdoor and all-weather production, delivering strong projection, beam, and wash performance in environments where dust and water exposure are a concern.

High-Output LED Engine for Long-Throw Applications

Providing up to 50,000 lumens from its custom designed 950W, 6,500K LED engine, the Proteus Maximus is designed for outdoor concerts, special events, theme parks, and cruise ships that require powerful, clean output at distance. A fast zoom range from 5.5° to 55° and a large 180mm front lens help it stay punchy in narrow beam looks while still offering broad coverage when you need wash.

Color, Beam Shaping, and Effects for Precise Looks

For color control, Proteus Maximus provides CMY color mixing plus variable CTO, along with a 6-position color wheel that includes High CRI and UV filter options. Its indexable full blackout framing system supports tight, controlled shutter cuts with 4 rotating full blackout framing blades and +/-45° framing indexing for accurate shaping on architectural elements, stages, and scenic pieces.

A comprehensive effects package includes two gobo wheels (6 rotating/indexing interchangeable glass gobos and 7 static glass gobos), a full 360° bi-directional animation wheel, dual prisms (4-facet and linear rotating), dual variable frost filters (light and wash), and a motorized iris with variable pulse effects. Focus is motorized, with auto-focus presets to help maintain sharpness across a range of throws.

Control and Integration

Proteus Maximus supports DMX and RDM, plus Art-NET and sACN for networked lighting systems. It offers two DMX channel modes (37 or 61), 16-bit pan, tilt, and dimming control, variable 16-bit dimming curve modes, and a DMX controllable LED refresh rate for camera-friendly tuning. On-fixture control is handled via a 6-button touch control panel and a full color 180° reversible LCD menu display.

Build, Connections, and Physical Specs

Additional practical touches include hibernation mode (power save), 5-pin XLR DMX in/out, and wired digital communication networking. Fixture dimensions are 18.0 in (458mm) long, 23.3 in (591mm) wide, and 32.5 in (825mm) high, with a weight of 117 lbs. (53kg).
