The Yamaha MG10/2 Analog Mixing Console is a compact 10-channel analog mixer designed to combine multiple mic and line sources into a clean Stereo output. It is well-suited for small live sound setups, rehearsal spaces, basic recording and playback routing, and simple submixing for keyboards, microphones, and media sources.
Flexible Inputs for Mics, Instruments, and Stereo Sources
The MG10/2 provides ten input channels and mixes the signals into Stereo output. Input channels 1 and 2 are each equipped with both an XLR mic input jack and a TRS phone-type line jack, making it easy to switch between microphone and line-level sources on the same channels. Input channels 7/8 and 9/10 are each equipped with both a TRS line input jack and an RCA line input jack, supporting common connections from line-level devices and stereo-output synthesizers.
Monitoring and External Routing
The monitor includes a convenient C-R OUT jack. This jack can be used to monitor the main Stereo output, and the 2TR IN signals, useful for checking your main mix or auditioning a 2-track source on control-room monitors.
AUX Sends, Return, and Channel Inserts
The mixer includes dual AUX SEND jacks and a single RETURN jack. The two independent AUX buses may be used as sends to external effectors and monitor systems, such as feeding an outboard reverb or a separate monitor mix. The mixer provides channel-specific INSERT I/O jacks for input channels 1 and 2, making it possible to insert different effectors into different channels (for example, adding compression to a vocal mic while leaving other channels untouched).
Phantom Power for Condenser Microphones
Phantom power supply enables easy connection to condenser microphones that run on external power, simplifying setup when using studio-style mics on channels 1 and 2.
