The Martin RUSH MH 7 Hybrid is an all-in-one beam, spot and wash moving head designed for flexible programming across clubs, live events, houses of worship, and performing arts spaces. With sharp optics and a motorized zoom system, it can move from a smooth wide wash to a tight, punchy beam, letting you cover the stage or cut through haze with the same fixture.
Optics, Output, and Zoom Range
Powered by a Philips Platinum 11R 250W (7800 K) lamp (approved lamp: Philips MSD Platinum 11R 250 W), the RUSH MH 7 Hybrid delivers bright output with an average lamp lifetime of 2000 hours. Motorized zoom provides multiple looks depending on mode: 2.2–24° in Beam Mode, 2.5–24° in Spot Mode, and 15–45° in Wash Mode. Motorized focus with 16-bit coarse and fine control helps keep gobos and edges crisp at varying throw distances.
Color, Gobos, and Beam Effects
For fast look changes and layered effects, the fixture includes a color wheel with 13 colors (including CTO, CTB, UV, and open). It also features both a rotating gobo wheel (8 gobos plus open, with 16-bit indexing, rotation, and shake) and a static gobo wheel (12 gobos plus open, with wheel rotation and shake). Beam effects are enhanced by two prisms: a 4-facet linear prism and an 8-facet circular (radial) prism, each with 16-bit indexing and variable rotation direction and speed.
Control and Connections
The RUSH MH 7 Hybrid runs on DMX control (USITT DMX512/1990 compliant) with 21 DMX channels and a backlit LCD control panel for setup and addressing. It supports both 3-pin and 5-pin XLR DMX connections, plus PowerCon IN and THRU for power linking.
Movement and Performance
Pan and tilt ranges are 540° pan and 250° tilt for wide coverage and dynamic movement. Dimming is 0–100% with coarse and fine control, and the shutter provides strobe, pulse effects, instant open, and blackout.
